These methods that were chosen are appropriate for this kind of research. Questionnaires were distributed to voice the views on the topic. The respondents were randomly chosen from the communities being studied. Method of data collection Questionnaires were used as a part of the research. A questionnaire is a form which contains a set of questions submitted to a number of people in order to collect or gather information for a survey. This method is appropriate since it collects quantitative data from respondents. It is also of most importance in obtaining the views of residents of communities being studied. A total of twenty questionnaires were distributed and collected by the researcher. The questionnaire consists of a series of fifteen closed-ended and two open-ended questions. Selection of sample The areas being studied are located in Mandeville, Jamaica (Georges Valley and Woodlawn Housing Scheme). The technique of sampling chosen was simple random sampling. In this method there is no subjectivity-each member of the total population has a equal chance of being selected and it is generally used when the population is homogenous. PRESENTATION OF DATA The research was conducted between the communities of Georges Valley and Woodlawn Housing Scheme. A total of eight questionnaires were handed to residents living in the community of Georges Valley and seven to the residents of Woodlawn Housing Scheme. The - in figure one shows that many of the respondents were living in households occupied by 2-4 persons, this information accounts for the percentage to be fifty four (54) on the other hand respondents living in households by themselves (single) is of a percentage of eleven (11) . The acquired information that is presented in figure 1 shows that 23% of the respondents lived in households that consist of 6-7 individuals. Only twelve percent (12%) of the responses stated that they share residence with seven or more persons. The – in figure two showcases the respondents view on the effectiveness of the Solid Waste Management in their community. With reference to the in figure two sixty two percent (62%) of the respondents indicated that solid waste management within their community needs considerable improvement, but on the other hand thirty one percent of the respondents indicated that the solid waste management was simply ineffective. However the other four percent (4 %) indicated that it was neutral. In figure 3 pie chart shows the indication of the respondents on is the rate of improper disposal of solid waste in their community if it’s increasing or decreasing. Eighty nine percent (89%) stated that it was increasing while nineteen percent (19%) chose the option that it was decreasing. Figure 4 displays an which represents frequency of the collection of solid waste in disposal units. Eight percent of the respondents stated that solid waste in their community is collected once weekly. In response to this, a majority of the respondents- a total of forty-five percent (45%) were of the view that low funds within the organization is to be blamed, in comparison to forty percent (40%) who thought that the poor management of garbage trucks is to be blamed. The remaining fifteen percent (15%) accounted for the minority of respondents who felt that there were issues with the schedule. Figure 8: Table #2 displays the likely contributors to an increase of dengue cases. As shown on the table, one main contributor is poor solid waste management which was indicated by forty-five percent (45%) of respondents. Thirty percent (30%) of the respondents suggested that this issue is likely to be as a result of residents taking little or no prevention measures while another twenty-five percent (25%) of respondents believed that the relevant health authorities were being less than effective in undertaking prevention measures. Given the various options, sixty-five percent (65%) of the respondents thought that the regularization of the service to the community would be an improvement. One occasion which arose and was met with resilience occured in England in 1811 when the revolutionary crop machine became the center of attention. A group of disgruntled workers from various textiles industries, called the Luddites formed a secret community of machine breakers. They used their primitive weapons to try and destroy the textile mills and machines that were believed to be the root of their problem. The Luddite's believed their skill and pride in their work made them a unique commodity and was one of the differences between them and the machines. Their skills have been passed from generation, to generation; in essence it is a direct trait of their identity. The craftsmen felt the machines were not as skilled as they were, therefore if they were to operate these machines they would probably lose their valuable skill and identity to become slaves to the machine. Work they once did in the house would now have to be done in textiles, which the luddites opposed because it housed poor working conditions. Work breaks that were left up to their discretion was to be timed, and the amount of work was based on a machine that could last longer than workers. Hence, it is easy to get the impression why the luddiets wanted to destroy the machines. In his book Society and Technological Change Rudi Volti expressed the belief that the luddites feared loosing their jobs to the dreadful revolutionary crop machine is not necessarily the main or only reason behind the attacks. That is not to say that fear of the new machines did not exist or contribute to the Luddite attacks, only that there were many other contributing factors. For example the Luddite attacks began in the hosiery trades, because of the long held opposition to the use of wide stocking frames that allowed employment of cheaper unskilled workers. Volti surmised this could have been handle peacefully had it not been for the dire economic conditions that existed at the time. Mainly due to the Napoleonic Wars which resulted in a general trade depression. A series of bad harvest caused a supply and demand, the amount of good harvest was scarce but the demand was high therefore raising the price for food dramatically. Due to theses conditions the Luddites sadly realized their wages were not enough to met their families basic needs. These events were followed by the shearers and handloom weavers in the weaving industry, who feared the advancement of the steam powered weaving machinery. In the crop ping trade the attacks were done to express the prevention of technological advances. The attack was simply based on the fear of unemployment based on technological changes. Although the film expressed the reason for the Luddite attacks were solely based on the so-called techno-fear is simply not true. The fear of low wages and unemployment due to the revolutionary technology did exist, however that is by far the only factor. Fear of possible unemployment and low wages were only contributing factors to the Luddite revolution, the economic conditions of the time were the main reasons for these attacks and fears. Volti stated that if the economic conditions were not so bad these attacks could have been avoided trough collective bargaining.

This is indeed a big and serious challenge. There is a need of legal, technical and professional training for these people so that they can meet the challenges and can take benefit of the advantages of the opportunities available in the market. Technically trained, skilled and competent people can compete with others and secure right jobs, which fetch them good salary. There is also need of providing them accidental and life insurance to make their life more secured. The demand for Nepalese workers is increasing greatly. The Three Year Interim Plan has provision to have labour contract with those countries where there are a large number of Nepalese working. This indicates that the opportunities for employment are increasing day by day. According to the government reports, more than one billion rupees remittances are earned every year from foreign employment. This has largely contributed to national economy. Many factories and industries are established from such money which helps in generating local employment and revenues. However, continuous fleeing of trained and skilled human power would adversely affect in their own economic development. They should gradually bring down the number of out going labour force. The country’s development is own development. It is a fact that one gets due respect only when his own country is developed. Those Nepalese working in other countries as Bahadur and Kanchhas are giving their sweat and blood for the development of other countries. Whereas it is sad to say that Nepal remains always poor, underdeveloped and backward. For this, they (Nepalese) have to get appropriate training, knowledge, skills and contribute to their own economic development. We should love our own country and foster patriotic feeling among us.
